Step 1 – Fabric Selection

When it comes to home decor, I’m very picky about color, style, and design. I love classic colors and styles, but I also love the unexpected splashes of fun and whimsy, like the cow print you see in this picture!!

The sky is the limit when it comes to fabric selection for creating my scarecrow dolls! You can use remnants of fabric in any color and style that fits your home decor and preference for weight and texture.

We will create some of our dolls with the torn fabric method, and others will be hemmed and pressed, much like a “once upon a time; Sunday go-to-meeting” dress!!

You can purchase remnants from your local fabric store, or you can order from my selection of recommended fabrics that I will be sharing via affiliate links.

I assure you, once you get started, you won’t be able to stop at creating just one of these adorable dolls! I look forward to adding to my collection, and I hope you will enjoy learning how to create your own set of my Designer Scarecrow Dolls!

If you have read this far, that means you are curious about #TheScarecrowChallenge, and I am delighted you have chosen to learn more about my plans to teach homeless problem-solving.

This is new territory for ALL of us, so welcome aboard. Fellow Adventurer! I celebrate your courage, and look forward to getting acquainted!!

With great appreciation for your presence,
Connie
